Ideas for Approaching Your Decluttering

There are so many ways to approach decluttering.

Marie Kondo taught the world to only keep what sparked joy. If you are struggling to figure that out or let go based on that, you are not alone.

Now, I know you paid good money for your health and beauty stockpile. I also know you probably have a good amount that's not getting used, is taking up space, and has likely expired.

Where to start?

Check expiration dates. It's not personal.

If it's expired, it may be doing more harm than good for your face. Maybe you're thinking it's no big deal because it goes on your skin. Well, your skin absorbs what you put on it. Don't put products on it that have gone bad. You deserve fresh, at their peak quality products.

Most products have the date clearly printed in ink or indented on them.

Cosmetics will have an open jar symbol that tells you how long from the open date the product will retain its quality. (Yeah. that's what that symbol is.) Unfortunately, queen, it's usually less than a year.

Get rid of (or use first/exclusively) the last 10% of bottles, plus the trial and travel-sized bottles.

If you aren't using it, you aren't getting value from it.

If you can use it up quickly, use that. It's the 2020s, very few people will notice or care if you're product selection isn't the most perfect thing ever.

Is it a gift that you never were into or is it a reminder of not-so-great times or a not-so-great person in your life?

Get rid of that bad energy. I promise to not tell them that you threw that away.

I believe in you! You can create space for more healthy goodness in your life.
